By chance I watched Apacalypto tonight and was reminded of this quote. We really have killed ourselves. Those teams didn't beat us. We did. No team outside of yourself can cause a collapse like that.
Don't feel bad for Hart. He is the only one I am sure will survive this. It will make him stronger. He will make something happen for himself in the NFL. That is his way. Too bad his last season ends like this, but he is and always will be someone we can be proud of. I think he knows that we will always have love for him.
While not being from the exactly same place, I know something of what he is feeling. Once I was on a team that didn't get a touchdown all season. I kid you not. Everyone had quit, yet I played every down like it was my last. Every play was a chance to make even just one great play. Each a chance for greatness. But there is only so much one person can do. Eventually that season came to an end, and I went on to bigger and better seasons and teams.
The thing to hope for is that the rest of the team holds their head up. That they don't just quit. That is when your heart really breaks.
If it hasn't happened already.
Apropos of nothing on the blog, I have a question for you Johnny:
Does Danbury have an earned income tax?
I just got a collection notice (yay!) for unpaid taxes in Danbury (I live there one year) and don't know what it could be for. I rented, paid my car tax and made some money working.
Your help is greatly appreciated as you are the only Danbury person I know anymore. Thanks much.

Sorry for not getting to this sooner, but I'm pretty sure Danbury does have an earned income tax, though not positive. Hope everything works out for you.
